More About Me
After earning my Masters degree in 2013, I pursued a career working with animals large and small. Whether it was in busy vet clinics, managing large horse farms, or conducting equine assisted therapy sessions, throughout my experience I’ve learned the only thing predictable about life is its unpredictability.
At one point or another, life deals us challenges that can be too overwhelming to overcome alone. My method is to help make sense of those events, of the emotions involved, and incorporate skills to help manage and accept those challenges as they come.
Growing up abroad in the Middle East, I understand the value of incorporating cultural identity into therapy; I work to understand individuals as a whole – each person is a unique human being with their own story, values, and identity – so I work to customize treatment goals based on these characteristics.
When I’m not working, you can find me at the barn spending time with my horse, experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen, or going on mini road-trip adventures with my boyfriend and our 2 pups.
